I've always been fascinated by optical illusions. Thought this one was too cool not to share. Great for kids, or even just for big kids ;)

Video of it in action at YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Ok, this sucked me in - i downloaded it, printed it and made it up, inside out head and everything ... and can't see the illusion at all :( Maybe I'm just not imaginative enough

Easiest to see if you close one eye and stand back a bit from it.

Once you've seen the illusion once, it gets easier and easier!

I can look at it and move around and see how its supposed to work, but I just can't fool my brain into thinking its more than what it is. Perhaps looking at it without making it would help :?

Actually, I found that backlighting it can help - the shadows must screw up the illusion? Also, blinking a few times while lookingat different parts of the face. Bloody hell, I've got too much time on my hands...

By the way, I could never see those damn magic eye pictures...

I'm intrigued now.
I'll have to give that a crack at work next week when no one is looking. :)

Ok, got it now - sit further away and dim the lights so you can't see the shadows of the folds and it works much better. Neat :)

Ahh, too many fluro's at my work for it to work with dim lights.
I might have to make it at home. :)
