Hi Guys
Just thought I'd ask if any of you guys are interested in doing some MTBing this Sunday?
I'm heading up with a couple of blokes Sunday morning and those interested (will need a bike) can come along! We are doing mainly beginner Down Hill so it would be a good start and for those worried about not being fit. We drive up the hills (hence the name!!!)

Hey Sibbo we're not going to serious so if you have a mtbike it would do fine.
Having said that if everyone is keen to step it up we can jump on the "real" track but only if people are going to be OK! (which will be my call!!!)

I am not going to be here anyway, will be in South West Vic freezing my arse off killing things.

Bought a balaclava to keep my noggin warm in the back of the ute.....and it fits under my pushie helmet! So on a really cold morning, I will see if I can get as many strange looks as you did!!!

Sibbo, a gun and a balaclava.
Sounds more like a bank robbery to pay for your next rebuild and not a hunting trip. :)

Do you want me to tell you all about the "job"? So the cops can casually come round and send me to meet bubba? hahahha

It will look dicey as with the shooters and balaclava.....but I dont think too many robberies have been done with the brands I shoot with.....maybe a long range hit....but thats a bit different.

Sunday, a criple on a 26" BMX with zip ties holding my legs onto the pedals. There's a thought.
Nah, fuck it, I'll just end up in hospital again. :D
Maybe nextime.

Sounds promising, except I've only got 700c 28mm tyres on, and no suspension. I never thought I'd say it, but I reckon it'd be better going up the hill :O

Hey Flash,

I might be interested. Got an old GT with RockShox front, hardtail rear.
Do you know the Backstairs Track at Warburton? It's a good short one, with car access at top & bottom of track.

Also, there's an un-named trickier longer one off Mt. Bride road, down to La La Falls. Do you know that one?

I've done a bit of MTB in the area, but no expert and unfit. Usually trail ride the DRZ instead, but not on those tracks.

What time & meeting place? What tracks?

I built it! In fact it starts on cemetry track! It actually crosses Mt Bride road.

We were going to meet at my place at 9am but if you like we can make it 10.00 - 10.30 at Yarra junction! We'll be in an old (EB) white falcon with a trailer

Flash,

Small world, huh?

Sounds good. How many are going? I might invite a mate. Do you want me to bring a 6 x 4 trailer up from Melb., or not? Maybe P.M. me with your phone number(s). I'll reply with mine.

Great day had by all, gonna be sore tomorrow but really happy with my skills and ability to still jump. Did come off and have a nice big headache right now but a few pills will fix it.
Thanx to Ash for showing us the ropes, hopefully do it again soon.

I had a great time too. Pity i couldnt stay till the end, and i think i need a bike with more that an inch of travel in the front. Absolutely loved the second track. I'll be there next time.

Good to meet mark, tony, flash and foreigners too.

After the ride Ash had a few beers and got a bit cocky.

Free riding is getting out of hand!! I have done some stupid stuff and if I get back into it I'll be doing it again more than likely. :)

Crikey, that's a big dump. So, it was you who kept blocking the dunnies at QBE? The truth comes out at last. ;)
