Sorry for the outage fellas, problems on the network end of the provider. As usual their tech support was up to their usual standard (ie. non existent) so I'm not sure what the exact problem was, only that it wasn't an issue with our particular server.

I'm still getting sick of this shit as our current provider are a complete useless bunch of idiots, but moving provider is a bit of an effort and you don't know whether you're going somewhere better or not. If anyone does know of good, reliable hosting with SSH access and > 20gig disc space and > 300gig of bandwidth/month for around $400 USD per year then let me know.

Or, for that matter, if anyone knows someone with a datacentre that is happy to rack a server that I'll supply and fully maintain :)

I've been using Brinkster for our personal site for about 4 years - they do a top level package with those sort of specs. Don't know what SSH access is tho, so can't comment on that...

Reliability has been superb - have had to contact their customer support twice in this time, and they have helped me fix the problem very quickly both times. Highly recommended if they have the features you need.

I'm a real VSMR whore (always checking up on it) and the site is rarely down for me Neil. Support issues aside, I'd say it's as good as any of the other websites I frequent.

Neil, I've had no problems with the site for months, since you fixed my access problem. Maybe we don't realise the problems you have to deal with.

If it goes down on you sometimes, consider yourself lucky........
