Incidently, a mate of mine is heading up to sng for a 30th birthday of a mate of his ... so I did the only decent thing and told him to make sure and check out orchard towers
Need pics with the new wheels btw 8) :D

do ya xr440 leaks any oil??
i got a few mates who done the 440 here in sg but doesn't really last, will always leak oil from the engine block
do ya know why is this so? bad workmanship??
:?:
i was thinking to do it, but my mate seriously make me give up the idea...

Where abouts does the oil weep from?

No oil leak just heaps of low down grunt and the need for an extreme re-gear completly new bike :)
I had a new timing chain and I tell you now make sure you look after the kick starter mine snapped after 2-3 months with the big bore it was really stressed with the extra compression probaly a 1 in 10 thing tho.

What model XR 400 you have there Rook, I got a set of oversized front and rear spokes in stainless for Honda XR/17" conversion.
They are stainless steel and the best you can buy. Are your wheels 36 hole front and 32 hole rear?
Might be able to help you, post would be quicker than the bike shop
rookie517
29-04-2005, 04:32 PM
yup, it is 36 front and 32 rear
i have already paid for the pair of spokes
and now waiting for replacement
if they still let me wait, i will demand a refund
and perhap, get from you...
