...would be great fun.
I'm really starting to miss having a bike over here.
Currently in Murchison, top of the southern alps.
Beautiful country, great roads, few cops.
Not exactly motard territory, would suit my TRX better than my KTM, but some of the roads tighten up nicely.
South Island is a nice place, you should come for a holiday though.
Working 7 days a week is starting to wear me down.
I hope to be back in town end of this week, maybe there will be a ride on?

Sounds good Dicky, How can it be that you are in such a mountainous country and it be more suited to the tractor? But then,.. :D I love TRX's so its OK!

I'm BIT for a few days.
I found the good bits :)
The top end of the Sth Isl has some awesomely tight twisty roads.
There are some long flat straight bits, but the twisties more than make up for it.
Only problem is that they are also the main roads.
There aren't really any 'other' roads in NZ.
I had to travel from Blenheim to a place called Fighting Bay.
It is 65 km by power line, but you can't follow the lines directly.
It takes two hours on a good day, longer if it is or has been wet.
There is a 'shortcut' road back through the forest that is about 15 minutes quicker, but only if the gates are unlocked. (these are serious gates, not like the forestry stuff over here).
To ride out and back on a retard over these roads on a sunny day would be totally mad. You'd need a change of undies and some pills to calm your heart down.
I'm heading back to NZ on Wednesday.
Pray for me, brothers.
dicky.
