It's definitely real, the mountain is a crazy bit of the circuit - I think this was likely taken after the race and he's hamming it up for the crowds. most of the riders roll off a bit when they crest the hill as it's not the quickest way to get round the track if you are in the air for too long.
I've seen a photosequence of someone flipping a CBR400 over it - looked super scary.

I reckon that guy on the R1 broke his nuts on the tank when he landed
