View Full Version : Broadford ride day - April 30th

Ok, Vicko from mcnews is organising a track day for (Monday) april 30th. Vicko is a top bloke and he'll be offering rider training for those interested, as he's a pretty handy rider having raced for a number of years on supersport fare. The numbers should be fairly limited, so it'll be a great chance to get a track day with only about 30 guys there in total for the full day.
To add some interest to the day, its also been revealed that Krusty Fergesson will be riding on a 'tarded CRF and there might be separate dedicated sessions for motard if we get the numbers there. So if that isn't enough to get you to work out how to take the day off, then I officially give up
Payment is in advance, $100 for the day if you pay before the end of march, $110 if you pay after, which is fairly good. You'll also need a MA license of sorts, and a rec one can be bought on the day for $15. Check out the full thread at:

Sounds like a good day.
Broadfords too big for the little 250, and a big run around there after you blokes would certainly not do it any favours :(
Anyone got a spare LC4 and no time off,
On second thoughts
Ash has a 610 Husky, and no time off

Lets see if we can get enough guys together. Be happy to share the DR with ya Muzz if you needed a ride :D

Thanks Dave.
As if I would take it fom you now with your nice new wheels :D
You will ride the bastard to the letter box as soon as they are in it.
Dont tell me you wont either
I would still go for the 'look-see' if its within the realms of possibility.
Would be nice to grab a demo from someone (read an Aprilia from A1 ;) ) and help them sell motards while I have some fun 8)
Shit I'd ride a Sherco if there was one down here

You fix it, you can ride my bike :D
It's uselessness is bugging me now, so it's almost time to take it to the shop for repairs.

Still the trouble after the backfire and sudden stop mate,
Have you had it assessed yet as to possible causes for the loss of compression, or the cylinder head off for a look-see?
I dont use other blokes bikes as a rule Angus,
Especially for a track day, unless its owned by a dealer and dedicated as such ...
Thankyou all the same.

A shop lending a demo bike when they know it's gong to the track, that will be the day. ;)
A shop lending you a demo for more than half an hour these days, that happens on very rare occasions too, lol.
Have you made a proper diagnosis of the problem with your bike yet Angus?
I'm keen Neil but I dare say I will be working that day, bugger it.

Thats why I say 'dedicated as such' meaning a track bike, they are out there, unfortunately mostly in the Supersport type offerings though  .

If the cut through is being used, then a 250 tard would be fine around there......if your good enough that is!
I just have to start a new job now, dont I......bugger. I will do what I can to come along (ie try to get a day off). Cursty might be compitition for the berg! hahaha

And for those who don't know, Krusty is an ex-australian superbike champion, hence this is not the sort of opportunity that comes along very often...

What better chance to crash into a champ!

Don't crash into Adam, he won't like it very much at all, after he gets up he will rip your legs out of thier sockets and beat you around the head with their soggy ends.

Then someone can nick his Crf and give it to Jove to race on, while I distract him by taking a beating.
sounds good. i will be out the front in a black unmarked van

If you see a tall, reasonably stocky, half pissed & feisty blood nut running towards your black unmarked van I suggest you start it and get the fuck outta there. ;)

Tentitive at the moment, cos I am starting a new job at the start of next month and I will have to check it with them, cos I am going to be serious about the next job, cos its a good job and I will have to work.
I will do my best to make it, cos running the cutout (if numbers allow) will be O so good! The track will kfin' kick arse, so people with not new jobs, take the day off, be sick, kill ur boss, cos its worth it.
Tentative as well. Is there a deadline to commit by?
