One of my mate is selling his motard wheel (for XR400)

A pair of 17” rim laced to talon hubs
Dunlop GPR70 rubbers (left 30-40% life)
Motomaster 320mm disc with relocator

Throw in a temperature gauge and a 45t sprox

Total for $2000 singapore dollar

What do ya think?

I can only compare it to local prices ... brand new, a set of talons with excels will set you back about $1900 AUD, plus about 500 for the brake kit. The tyres probably aren't worth much as you'll need to replace them soon anyway, and the sprocket probably $50 (depends how worn) and small change (?) for the temp guage.

So that probably means about $2500 AUD all up, which is roughly equivalent to $3200 SGD. So that's probably not a bad deal, but depends on what the gear would cost you brand new in singapore - if your local tarrifs and duties are low then you might be able to get it brandy new for cheap.

My experience with singapore was that most things motorised tended to be ridiculously expensive, but not sure if that extends to bike spares or not...hopefully not given the number of bikes on the road there, but they mainly seem to be those weird yamaha 2-stroke thingoes :-k

ok, lets see

one of the shop here sell a pair morad rim + bull dog spokes = $800

talon a pair, approx $800

gpr70 about $220

and the 320mm disc, approx $500 as well.

all price are for new item.

the temp gauge is also about $90, brand new
sprox say about $50

so all in total = $2100, excluding temp gauge, sprox and rubber..
hmm...

seem like not really a good deal :?
