Does anyone one know how to recalibrate the speedo on a 06 Husky TE450 with 17in motards with stock TE brake setup?

The bike will read 120kph when it is doing about 100kph....

it reminds me of someone this :? since i built my first motard an xr 250 it always was like yours.its the same now with my xr650r.until 100kph it says 10 wrong.for example if the speedo showing 70 i am going 60,but after 100 it reads 20 wrong.like you said when you going 100 it says 120... i couldent fix the problem on my bikes but i dont know on the husky what can you do.i am used to it anyway but good luck.

not sure what the speedo is like on a 06 but there should be a reset or mode button on it somewhere that lets u change the diameter size of the wheel. i would say it would be set at 2100 change it to 1700. that might not be right but what ever number it is set at now will correspond with the front wheel size. so if u divide the number by the wheel in inches than times that by 17 it should be right.

i think the 06's got the same tacho as the 610 ????????????

Like Jovian said,
If it has the reset button sometimes there is an option to reset wheel diametres also.

Im pretty sure the owners manual mentions something about how to change the settings from memory.

Is it analogue or digital? I would imaging digital, but if its analogue, the drive unit on the front wheel can be swapped for a different size drive unit (If its anything like the older LC4's)

similar dash as the 06 610,ie,tacho has bar graph and no's but they are diff sizes and have diff functions-510 has average speed and highest speed.

on my LC4 when I turn on the ignition it says 17 on the digital dash which is the wheel size, at this point I can change it. I know it's a different bike but it may be similar.

To indicate the right speed just pop a little wheelie now and again to let the wheel slow down til it reads right. ;)
Should solve all the correction problems with the flick of the clutch
Geez I'm clever

I got some info from an American fmotard forum but it tells me to turn on the ignition. I don't have an ignition on the husky...Yes it is also a digital speedo and it does not have any info in the owners manual. The shop I bought it from says It can be done, probably by them charging me for them to do it...

thats bullshit mate, on the 04 there is a reset button on the back of the tacho. the tacho has to be removed to change the setting and the reset button is near the battery on the back. the bastards should just tell you over the phone. check out supermoto junkie as well

what shop are u dealing with in qld ? I don't deal with any of them, if u do deal with ducati gold coast. i buy my stuff from r&D Husqvarna in Sydney and get a local mechanic to fix it.

The instructions in the manual were lacking for mine as well. The reset for the EXC computer involved unplugging the unit from the power and making the adjustments while it is running on its own internal battery. Not a mention of that anywhere in there. SMJ or TT will def have it in there somewhere though.
