I think the rear will be very tight if it will fit! I think you are stuck with a 4.25 on a DRZ - Neil?

You can squeeze a 5.0 on the drz, but usually with the benefit of lacing so that you can move the rim around a little in relation to the hub. If that era gixxer ran a 5.0 rear then you might be able to make it fit, but I'd say you'd have a bit of work in front of you with machining the hub down to the right size.

front should be alright but you are gone have a bit of a problem in the rear.i dont think that the very fat tyres are always good especially in small bikes.depents on the bike anyway.it affects the change on direction i think.probably the best for the DRZ is 150\60

From memory it's a 5 inch on the GSXR.
I just sold one of those (GSXR750WP) and it had a fiver on it.
I know SFA about DR'a but I would expext it to be a tight fit.
You would have to run a 160 on it if you get it in as a 170 in a DR would get chewed to the shithouse by the chain I speculate.

I think its a no-can-do myself.
For the rooting around with the rear, you might as well just find a swingarm, modify the width and pivot bearings to accept the DR frame cradle.
Then you use the whole rear end minus the shock from the GSXR, including the caliper etc and easier to align than the wheel alone.
Really only the chain alignment to consider.
The front will fit, ex-1 disc, and the spacers and bearing diameters are something that can be done once the wheel is in the forks, caliper clamped to wheel (Cable tie the front brake lever once positioned) and dummy axle inserted.
