motard/mx ride

Hey all, I just thought i would post this here.

Broady mx track, 9.30am sat 2nd april. motards/mx/enduro/trail/mini/and even slow, heavy, expensive, hard starting 4 strokes!

Come one, come all. watch me fall off and have to hobble home! :cry:

Got a simple question I hope lots of people would like an answer to. :oops: Do you need a license to ride on tracks for events like this. I got a drivers license but nothing to recognise my desire to ride on tracks. I'd be in for a ride at Broady, but only if I can play. :D

Unless it is an Open National Meeting for M.A purposes, it is at the discretion basically of the organiser/promoter/owner.
You can ride at most track and practice days without them, but some track operators ensure longevity by requesting a day/rec licence be purchased for I think $15...
Anyone else add more detail to this?...

You can ride at broady for $30 on Sat/Sun and most public holidays, you also have to fill out an indemnity form that's it.
They do have safty requirments. That your fully covered and you have motorbike boots on. (also a helmet)

You can buy a yearly MA rec license and get on for any open practice days etc (as long as its not competitive) for $80 a year...

i was there on the weekend, research of course, and you pay $30 and thats all you need. money talks and you ride.

the track is nice and smooth and blue rubber lines developed by the end of the day. motards could easily handel the track and would probable beat me, with a 1/2 good rider on a 2 stroke and a 9/10 good rider and a 4 stroke!!

there was also NOT heaps of "A" graders, so it made for a fun day.

just a quick update with good and bad news.

I will not be in attendance on the 2nd at the track, this is because of the good news. Which is that nunawading mx club has accepted my application. So i now can ride on sat and sun for free!!! I also can race once a month for $16 with NO MA bullshit licence. This is for $100 a year, a bit cheaper than $30 a ride!

I doubt whether I will be able either as Mr. Plod saw fit to stop Noddy (son) in Benalla last week and give him a new yellow sticker for the windscreen. :? So now we dont have a vehicle that has 4 wheels at the moment and I dont fancy riding 3 hours down, a days MX, then 3 hours home on the ironing board Yamaha calls the seat. :( :idea: What I need is a road trials outfit with a bike carrier instead of the sidecar :-k ...

Im glad you like it, all we have to do is get that red tinge out of your eyes and teach you to appreciate ALL two strokers!! Basically, if they stroke you, who cares what they look like, its all fun in the end, because who cares what comes out of your pipe! :la:
