View Full Version : YZ250F
What do you all think I can do to my SM YZ250F, I have had the head ported and a T4 exhaust. I need to make it competetive in AMA.
THANKS,

Look at the camshaft to crankshaft relationship and the timing, then match the mods to a recurved CDI unit. Camshaft profile that of OW01 specifications and look at the flywheel weights, give consideration to the return to wet sump racing engines... :-k
With the correct application these mods will see big HP...
If you have trouble with those changes JR, I can give you more detail as previously discussed... ;)
What is OW01 specifications?

This is a Factory designation for a particular model of Yamaha 4 cylinder engined racer. The same cam profiles are fitted to FZR 750/1000 in 1998 as far as I am aware, otherwise source from camshaft manufacturers in U.S (Hot Cams?)

Hey Dicky, Does that mean my red LED accent lights on the wheels and in the airbox shining on my polished friggin everything will really make it quicker? I know it does better wheelstands since I put em on!

I was practising in the industrial estate as usual on Saturday arvo's, managed to ride a wheelstand today into top gear and for over a kilometre. Was a bit unstable as the speed is pretty high to keep the wheel up there and wind plays a big factor. Trying to get comfortable for my attempt at the Westgate! :D
