We (NSW SMR) have tried to get access via official channels, but the council won't approve the DA to allow bikes until the road leading to the track gets upgraded. They wanted $50k to do this so for some reason it's not on the top of our priority list.

Is $50k the standard answer from council Brembo? Isn't that the amount for Cameron Park Newcastle too.

Cameron Park operators couldn't care less if we use the track or not as they have hire karts and plenty of guys going for karting practice, and they didn't have a DA for bikes when we tried (just tick a box sort of thing next time round, no exorbitant amount of money involved). It's possible to get it licenced, but Port Macq and ECK are a higher priority. Not to mention the feeling I get that the council up there wants the land for more industrial use so might not be too friendly.

I have raced carts there and thought it would be a cracker motard track, there was even a disused dirt section already there. I think the dirt section shows up on google earth.
Not sure if they still do, but a few years ago they did have pocketbike racing going on there as well.
Cheers brian

Hey Azz45, Do they still use the track or is Raliegh sitting idle. Getting it back on topic. I just looked at their web site and the track looks good and it answerd my own question. Supermoto, waterslides,BBQ, Putt Putt Golf, swimming pool, big foot. It would be a great family day out.

would be the sickest track to learn on, they have 5 rounds in the drift series this year.
he lets the drift cars out on weekends for practice but they gotta come off when someone hires a kart.
dont see why he cant do the same with bikes
next plan is to ask if we can private hire for the morning with bout 5 tards

I'm with SM93 and the NSWSMR guys on this , but... I find it interesting that they can run drift cars there.

its probably an old approval, it wouldnt be the worst idea to see who they run there days threw for insurance. my unstanding though is that as motorcycles are not approved a new one would have to be gained.i wonder if there is an approval someone could get thier hands on? the problem council forget about all this stuff and when people go fishing around again they would heaps of new forms havent been down new regs not followed etc etc.

the system in NSW is crap, if that was a tack in qld all we have to do is get a track inspection and prove copy of insurance indeminity and we could ride as

Probably about 8 years ago I raced buckets at Raleigh, at a North Coast road racers event. On that day motards had a practice day bitumen only through the day then once the buckets had finished racing the motards did dirt as well.
