Get your entries in fella,s . Let,s start 2012 with some tyre smoking action at Morgan Park for Round 1 of the Challenge Cup.
Remember to enter the Challenge Cup class as well as the supermoto class. It,s open to all class,s of bikes and for an extra $ 25 it,s value for money.
Get your entries in people, the Challenge Cup is a great event, especially if you are a newcomer to the sport. Classes are determined on your qualifying time, not the type of machine you ride so you will be ONLY racing with other riders of a similar pace. No fast guys to worry the newbies!

When is this?
Supp Regs are available on the Motorcycle Sportsmen website (http://www.motorcyclesportsmen.com.au/) or by clicking here (http://www.motorcyclesportsmen.com.au/2012_WARWICK_CHALLENGE_CUP_REGS.pdf).
It was not planned to run the Supermoto track at this event but it made it's way onto the regs and that means if there are sufficient Supermoto entries there will be a Supermoto class and you can race in the Challenge Cup Class too!
If there are not sufficient Supermoto entries, it will mean there will be more challenge cup races to fill in the program.
As the title of this thread says it's the 18 & 19th Feb

When will this call be made Daws, not really interested in the challenge class.
I put my entry in this morning  I'm in the same boat as you Matt - not really interested in the challenge class but very keen for supermoto.
When will this call be made Daws, not really interested in the challenge class.
I'd say it will be made some time after the closing date for entries. If you don't want to race the challenge class, just enter Supermoto and you will be advised accordingly if there are not enough entrants to run the class.

Not breaking out the Wild Boyz Racing SV650?
nah the world isnt ready for that just yet i will be out there for a race soon
93/98 Supermoto KTM Racing/Goldspeed/Axle Armour/Workshop 2000/Collins Leathers SMR450's will be out there testing for the upcoming season, some new parts have arrived and they need a shake down.
You are going to have to do something about that team name, there isn't enough space on the program to list the copious amount of sponsors you have ;)

Im in ! Entered the Challenge and Supermoto classes . Blackie is ready to Rock N Roll again , and Rex is sooo close now :)
A big thanks to all the Supermoto riders that came out to Morgan Park yesterday to help with maintenance and building the dirt portion of the Supermoto circuit.
This would be a great time for me to put some photos up but I forgot to take any! But the track is essentially the same layout as we have previously ridden due to being signed off by the MA track inspector.
Due to the heavy rains and erosion issues experienced from time-to-time in Warwick we had to take that into consideration when moving dirt around. All of the infield corners now have berms, we tightened up the chicane section in the middle and turned it into the type of corner that will reward speed through the two berms. The last left hand corner has been moved further down the hill with a berm that gets rid of the negative camber at the base of the hill running up towards a small kicker. Metal ramps will be in place for the Challenge cup on the down-hill section and the plan is to add a tabletop in future once we can get some more dirt and drainage pipes.

I've just been informed by the Sporties that because of track maintenance works, we will be running a new shortened configuration (circuit I) for the road-race events at the Challenge Cup.
This will be the first time we have run this configuration and it should prove a lot of fun for motards due to the lower top speeds around the new section. Basically it's turn right after the bridge then a chicane before the new section.
Check out the track map here - http://www.morganparkraceway.com.au/circuit.htm

Sensational news Daws the track will certainly favor the supermoto,s. Looks like there are two corners where we can get some sideways action going on. A change can only be a good thing ,lets hope this trend continues and we get to do more configurations.
