As there are some budding graphic artists amongst us,
Can we start posting up concepts for the new VSMR stickers to be produced soon.
They need to be about 300mm X 50mm I reckon to fit most front guards, but straight ones for fork protectors would also be cool.
Colours open.

Well, I personally think that the existing ones with a little "www." up the top left and a ".net" down the bottom right would fit the bill perfectly :)
Are you thinking single or maybe two colour cut vinyl, or digital print?

I might be avle to get single colour vinyl made up very cheaply. but it is only single colour, so limited in application.

Digitally printed on the rear of Tuff Stuff vinyl like a graphic kit is Devo.
Fairly neutral colours, 2 or 3, as to blend with the bulk of bikes.
Cool.
I was going to offer my services. Cut vinyl only at the moment though.

Ok because no-one had a go,
I did...
This is about the extent of my computer art skills doing a fork leg sticker
Clear background, black outline, metallic silver lettering...

Cool ... how about shrinking the 'www' and the 'net' bits and spacing them out a little more ... gives a bit of separation and highlights the vsmr bit ... we'll all end up graphic artist one day i guess ;)

I thought about that Neil, and tried it, but I was after something that was not illegible, but you just need to concentrate or to look twice to read it.
Tends to grab attention and therefore more likely to be remembered.
I chucked this baby together now with the same high tech method...
Will blend on the majority of swingarms in the same colours as the fork leg ones...

Ok, I've created a new 'graphic art' folder in the Misc album to hold some of the mockups that people can upload into from their creative outputs ;) I've blatantly stolen muzz's idea and done one myself :D

Other colours could be done individually but the cost would increase of course.
Like these maybe...

No one came up with too much so we have a few drafts done by a mate of mine here in Wangaratta..
You can have a look on the 15th as mine are already fitted to the airbox on my WRF.
There are about 4 sets there and I will be ordering more from Trevor as soon as we decide if these are OK to go with.
Imagine the picture I was going to post, but the Gallery is still up the shit after the dickweeds didnt listen to Neil
Gallery now working again so..

Any designs that are forwarded need to be in Adobe Illustrator preferrably.
All the same,
We will be sticking with the current slogan of
'Slide it in, Slide it out' as it seems the most catchy and fitting.
The ones that are floating about now are vinyl cut 2 colour, and the thought was to have just the lettering and lifted with tape so there would be no background to the sticker..
Makes for a clean look onto any colour background that way.
You can shoot me whatever you have Nick,
Its all appreciated and assessed.
I dont just bin peoples work ... without careful consideration first
Good on you Devo.
At least Jove will look fast then ;)
Dont get too carried away with praise Muzz, I clean forgot!
Shit, sorry Jovian, will have to be next time after you get your bike done. Cut vinyl is indeed very easy though, no need for the right size/shape for different bikes either. Just need two different versions, a light and a dark set.

You do realise he fell off on the jump because his bike was not correctly adorned with stickers and weighted correctly to the fork legs
All good Devo,
Theres always next round of racing ;)

I must admit I thought slide it in/slide it out was kind of clever. Not to mention deliciously norty. What smart fella thought that one up? :lol2:
thanks devo, when i tried the tight line on the steel ramp i accounted for the sticker weight, as i flying threw the air sideways i relised i didn't have them................

How about these... I have the illustrator originals here.
The main differences between this and muzz's originals are:
The left and right text (slide in, slide out) are aligned with the main line.
The www has been squashed so it doesn't overpower the vsmr.net.

Any update on these? Happy to have another go at tweaking them again if needed. Colours, sizes etc.
Also, don't forget the images posted up are just JPG's, I have the illustrator originals here for printing from.
