Let me give sincere thanks to those who showed up at the working bee to assist in modifying the tyre barriers, you made it happen.

We have been aiming to run the first ride night of the year on next Tuesday, 7th January.

From Steve (NSWSMR)

Hi Folks,

Can't win a trick! Due to a paperwork hold-up, we will not receive our permit in time for Tuesday Night's ride.

I have checked with Eastern Creek Go Karts and the following Tuesday is available so I'm booking that date.

Please refer to the previous email for details, just change the dates.

Looking forward to seeing you there, sorry for the frustrations.

For those who have never been to Eastern Creek Go Karts look here. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&tab=wl (http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&tab=wl)

Regards,

Mr E

Are you for sure this time as I bought tickets to the Rod Stewart Concert a year ago and promised my wife I would take her for Valentines Day and it falls on the same night of the 14th Feb??? Just spent the weekend preparing the younger sons YZ250F and promised both boys we would be goin to Eastern Creek this Tuesday.

Might have to put the Rod Stewart tickets on the FOR SALE section on the forum.

The hold up is the paperwork, it's sitting on the desk of the one guy in the whole Dept. of Sport and Rec. who can approve the track licence. He just happens to be on holidays, as he always seems to be when we put in paperwork :( I'll prod Steve to see how things are going later on.

So i see it says you have to lock wire your bikes now? Is this just for the race bikes or road bikes as well? I've never had to have lock wire my bike before to pariticipate in these track days. I hope it isn't true cause I'm not going to be lock wiring my roadbike.

Since it's a recreational event (no racing!), lock wiring is not an absolute requirement, but is highly encouraged. We can;t expect first time attendees on their daily commuter DRZ to have a fully prepared bike, but if you regularly come to events, wiring stuff up takes no time at all. The hardest part is drilling the holes, and you only need to do that once.

Sliders and guards are absolutely required, no exceptions. No silders, no riding.

EDIT: If you DIY sliders, use Nylock nuts! Seen too man sliders vibrate off.
