Hi

Anyone recommend a place to buy a set of Distanzia's in Melbourne? I want this done in the next couple weeks.

Keen to get the SMC dirty!

I think it is Donellans, one of the guys on here was working there and did me a great deal on a set posted to Brisbane.
Cheers brian

That would have been mixd - but I'm not sure if he is around any more. I've actually contacted the distributor and I'm going to see if I can lock in the resale of these tyres. Get some AU wide delivery going.

hi ive had these tyres before on my XTX660 and found there not that good in wet or mud. they seem to wear to easy..the other way is get a 21" for front and get some dirt tyres only problem is the front disc being so big or change it to small disc just for dirt,i would love to take my XT on mud but need to do the same

They seem fairly popular - especially if want to hit some dirt. Massive treads on them. I'm going to put a set on my SMC and give em a whirl soon enough as I'm itching to get into a state forest.

Take the 15% off on the prices and it works out to a fair deal for that tyre.

If a pair is purchased I can take a bit more off the price.

I have run them a few times and loved them.

The only thing I'm wondering is that previously the 70 profile was the harder version used on BMW's the 60 used the same compound as their sports tyre

The price seems pretty good with the discount, I know i paid a bit more than that for my last set.
BB, I was running them on the Duck Creek ride the other day if that is any indication.
Cheers brian

I've also run several sets on my DRZ when i had it, only the 150 size.
After 5000klms still some tread left on rear, I found they gave not much warning when letting go on asphalt.
Front I got an easy 10,000 klm but once again still tread left but they let go without much warning.
Forget trying to use these in mud.
Of course they will never compete with a knobby.
I give them an 8 out of 10 as a dual sport tyre.

$400 @ pr is the average price for Distanzias in AM43/44
I use the 120/70 - 150/60 combo and in all conditions.
The beauty of these is a tar road to dirt to offroad to a track day and no tyre changes if you dont need to.
They are the best ADR compliant dual sport tyre available for supermotards IMO
They were developed in England and used in the early days of BSMC in wet conditions as an intermediate tyre.

Fitted to my old Yamaha @ Calder Pk during a track day
