Do any of you guys use irc clients?

I started a room over here that's just a click away if you have an irc client installed.

The chat thing has never really taken off ... mcnews ran a chat for a while, but it died out after a bit ... they have a shoutbox on the main forum page now and I'm thinking of maybe writing something similar myself, but with a little window you can see up the top of the page all the time or something so you can always tell if there's activity present ... need some time though ...

Not staying on topic and the use of the forums to pass idle chat is getting too much.
I am going to have to moderate it if it continues.
It doesnt address the issues this forum ewas set up to perform.
Get a phone credit and ring each other rather than chit chat about off topic items.
It doesn't let those interested in the real topic a chance to get to the info either when theres a page and a half of crap about going out after work for instance, in between the decent input.
We made an off topic forum, and a shout box for the chit chat and still its in every friggin thread.
Cut it out now.
Bike orientated info and light banter mixed in,
Not the other way around.
