Sunday early morning there are a couple of us going riding. We will be meeting @ 9.30 in front of Peter Stevens M/C Ringwood, in Maroondah Hwy.
Probably do the mountain roads if the weather is good. Anyone with a digital camera/video should bring it along as we might find ourselves doing stuff that needs capturing for prosterity!
Come on the weathers not going to be great forever!

I'm there, but can we have a bit of dirt? Archeron way perhaps? That's easy even for total gumbys on the dirt!! :)

Peter Stevens Ringwood Sunday sounds like a great idea. I have a little digi I'll bring but if you want quality and large image ability this camera ain't it. Dirt section might be interesting on the tyre selection, but anything to make silly talk later

Some bastard said it was s'posed to rain over the weekend, is that the prognosis?
Yeah some dirt would be nice and we can have a bit over near Launching Place on Old Dalry Rd, winds back across the ridge to Healeville. And the Acheron Way is sealed now isnt it?

Just checked the weather and it may be wet late Friday to Saturday morning, but predicting mostly sunny and mid 20's for Sunday. www.weatherzone.com.au and type in your town or postcode for local weather.

2/3 of the acheron way is dirt. There is a place I would like to get a photo or 2 doing some small jumps near Warbarton. I was there on Thursday but I didn't have a camera. It's not real big jump but you get a few metres. It's only a small detour. :D

Well, the weather stayed good at least! :D

Good ridin' fellas - great to see you down this way again Muzz.

For those who didn't make it, we zipped out from ringwood, through warrandyte, up through to kinglake via st andrews and a number of different "short cuts" ;) ... happened into Antti with a few other guys from mcnews in kinglake who took off before us as we sipped our coffees. We cut back from kinglake back through to the melba, then dog-legged over that and through the strath creek road and into the bottom of healsville for some juice.

Did the black spur, turned off toward marysville and then did the archeron way, as by this stage ash was already frothing at the mouth for some dirt! Having said that, said dirt-aholic managed to have a slight mis-hap about a dozen corners into the dirt that involved himself, a back brake and his poor, long suffering bike  It was a good effort though, and to reward his efforts he qualifies for a new title now! :D

We got through the archeron way and into warby for a bit more fuel, then up the back road that heads up to yarra state park (I think?) at which point we headed offroad for a bit more dirt action. The fellas were obviously in awe of my l33t dirt skillz .... although I think they may have nodded off a few times whilst waiting for me

We stopped at a bit of jump and got the video camera out to get a few moving picturemathingos of people going over said jump and getting some decent air ... said people not involving certain DRZ riding, panty wearing types of course :D Muzz had some very nice moves indeed, and I'm hoping we got the feet off the pegs one which was quite nice indeedy

From there we kept on back up the trail until it came back out on to the dirt road and then followed that back down to the sealed road and then back down to warby and back home again. Great days riding fellas, it was nice to get a few of us out, although I must admit that this beer I'm knocking back is tasting mighty good! :)

Well, I just arrived home after another marathon day. A good ride around the Ranges, a jump, a wheelstand for the kids in the bus shelter at St.Andrews, some good fun all round...
Little van was once again having a tantrum on the way home, and I think it was its last trip until major attention, or RELACEMENT! :)

One bit of bad news - one of the fellas we met at kinglake had a bit of a woopsie on that 'orrible kinglake/st.andrews road :( Was the bloke with the grey R1 ... thread over at mcnews >>>Clicky (http://www.mcnews.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5755)<<<

Guys, I ended up being a few minutes late for work, but took more because of hunger. Just got home and it is 11:45pm!
Was an excellent day. All the local knowledge finding the twisty bits was a big part of it.
Two things stand out (of course apart from the excellent riding), the DRZ with knobbies keeping it real and at speed... and Muz talking about his Harley with knobbies dropping cow turds at intersections. Wonder if there is any connection to this story and the current Yammie theme?
Thanks again for organising and attending all.

I agree with you danno. Harley, cow turds and nobbies. Oooh yes then there's the other memory, a closup of the road wilst sliding along at about 50+ km's. My luck is changing there normally would have been a camera there
