Does anyone in Brisbane happen to have the tool you use to hold the clutch hub while you loosen/torque the 27mm nut? 06 Husky sm610, stock Cagiva clutch.

Alternatively, any suggestions on another method? Because the hub turns with the gearbox/drivetrain, there is nowhere accessible to wedge meshing gears. I tried a hammer handle (rubber coated) thru the rear sprocket but that failed dimsally - chain stretch and too much load on the handle for my liking.

I'm pretty confident that the woodruff key on the crankshaft gear that drives the counter balance has sheared out due to a loose crankshaft nut.

As an aside, am I supposed to be able to turn my clutch hub ~1/3 turn either direction before the front sprocket starts to turn?

Good times. :la:

I use a couple of old clutch plates (1 fibre + 1 metal) bolted together to lock the clutch, put it in first gear and stand on the rear brake. Then it will come off with a rattle gun no problem.

with no rattle gun makes it hard
sacrafice a steel plate and weld a handle to it
try top gear and just the rear brake [its a better mechanical advantage than a lower gear]
thick solder or denim rag in the gears
theres 3 good luck

You can pull the case off the opposite side and put a 20 cent peice in the gears. If your doing the clutch ok, but if your doing the cam chain you'll need a flywheel puller to. I ended up buying one from the states as i could find nothing else that fits.

Jam a rag in the countershalr sprocket.
That how we did my clutch when I installed the slippper.
Bought a tool like the one in the pic from the local bike shop for about $40.

Made the job easy as when i had to check it
