Bomber640

Just out in the shed and noticed a couple of things that might be relevant to someone,
1. I've noticed that since I started riding my 640 on the road the that the bolts on the triple clamps, only on the brake side, come a bit loose over time and need to be re-tensioned even though they are loctited. That's the 3rd time in about 3 months. Caliper mounting bolts, disk mounting bolts and axle pinch bolts are fine. Might be because the front wheel is out of balance, might just be increased braking force on bitumen, but worth checking; especially given that I only have a 2 piston caliper on a 300mm disk. I know a lot of you guys have much more sophisticated front brakes.
2. The grease nipple on the bottom suspension linkage is useless, and won't allow grease to penetrate. It'll have to be removed and repacked properly.
3. Like every other 2nd hand bike I've ever bought, the steering head bearings were pretty dry. Re-packed with a calcium based waterproof grease.
