I am going up in the hills with my sports bike mates this Sunday.
I have not confirmed times yet, but it will probably be best to meet in warbarton. There is a cafe on the north side of the road (left if you are heading out of melb for the stupid ones here  ), right at the end of town. It looks like it might of been a servo once, if you know what I mean.
I will post up (before friday 3pm) the time I will be at warby on sunday morning.

Ash: "Hun, I am off to work, see you tonight."
Wifey: "Really, on a sunday?"
Ash: "yes, I did not get all my work done during the week, so I need to go back and finish it off."
Wifey: "OK, have fun."
Simple!

OK people. I might be riding by myself, I normaly need at least 1 person on ambo duty for me, so I might have to go slow.
Anyway. I will be at the warby cafe as described above from between 10-30 and 11am on sunday. I will be the good looking bloke with the berg in the trailor.
Come along, watch me do wheelies, crash, do wheelies, crash. You get the picture!
BTW, I wont be on line after 5pm fri until monday morning, so I wont be able to answer questions.

Not the best of weekends to be on the roads up there Brett.
Every window licker and his boat/horse float/caravan will be coming home from school holidays as well as Mr. Plods favourite time is those weekends.
Take it easy and dont run into me on the way home over the Spur.

Mr Plod was a dick as usual, trying to throw his weight around. I wonder why people hate the police.
No fine, as I had done nothing wrong, as I slowed down heaps through the accident scene, but he thought I was going too fast. Wanker! He should of seen me earler!
It was a fun ride on my own with all my friends!!!
And the berg G/box broke! I think its the shifter (dog, linkages?), not gear. But will find out when it goes to the shop. Fu&king European shit, I knew I should of bought a jap bike.

Ahh, so your the one.
From my research I have not heard of anything like this happening before. Richy has not heard of it. I will keep you posted to what it is.
The bike runs fine now, but thats allways the way, lets hope it is something simple.
The bike is great, needs a few revs to get over the shudders, but other than that, its tops. Its the best motard I have ridden.
We might be able to hook up a test ride, but I will need to get to know you first before I had over the.....I was going to say key, but it does not have one.
Thats prob the worst part about it, the lack of a key. I need to rig up a little switch, so people cant start it willy nilly.
It does bloody great wheelies, what more could you want?
Go to www.husaberg.org and look at the forum, it is a great source of info.

I have several brand new ignition sets you can pick fom Brett, I'll bring one to the GPTC next track day mate ;) .
Sibbo
03-10-2006, 01:52 PM
Nar dont need one, got a few at home to choose from.
Thanks though.
I might just rig up a similar immobiliser to the berg as I have on the VL, then I dont have to worry about using bloody keys. Have not decided yet, but there is pleanty of options.

Load up with Sibbo in the trailer drive to Mansfield, unload and ride up to Toolembup across the Spur and I can meet you at the top.
Then we can go down into the Valley and ride a 55km loop out again...
Theres some 10' plus checkbanks going into the Valley and heaps of good uphill blasts out too.

Due to lack of interest, I will not be doing the organised ride.
Cant say I have not tried. :(

20-10-2006, 01:54 PM
I'd go, but wouldn't be able to make it too far by having my feet paddling through the frame 'flintstones style' on the drz :lol2:
Leaving poor ash to ride on his own?

You gotta post a meeting point, time, and make sure you are there even if no one fronts...
How do you think I feel coming all the way to Melbourne for a night ride and being the only one at Federation Square, loading the bike back on after an hours wait to drive the 270km home?
It has to be a fresh thread for each ride or it gets too confusing.
If you post for a ride, wait for the others, then ride, not ride and then go to the meeting point...
Sibbo
20-10-2006, 04:48 PM
Yeah I did that for the first one and rode on my own.
This one, I tried to get some pre ride feel for who might come, but no love.
This forum does not have enough melb people who want to ride, or dont like me? Not sure.
But I give up on organising rides, as I dont take rejection well.
Its still just the original few that are willing to do anything social. No one new wants to join in. Why is that?
Cmon new people, why dont you want to meet new people? When I joint this forum, I did not know anyone, and it is hard to start with, now I know lots of people and I am the better for it. All of you others can do the same thing.

Sometimes it hard to get folks to ride for other reasons too.
Clash of interests, and the fact that a lot of blokes use this time (Spring) to get the bike updated or rebuilt so many are still in pieces.
Eh Kyle? ;)
Its all good though.
Keep posting for rides, cause if you dont, where do the newbies go then?
I posted for 12 months on the old SRCA website and usually ended up riding with the DBW lunatics instead.
Maybe we could do a joint forum dirt ride somewhere close like Warburton or the likes with them, meeting them at McMahons Creek after a Spur ride
Theres more avenues to blast before I'm outta gas Sibbo!

Hey Sibbo I'm interested in riding here and there except w/e's are taken up mostly with my girl. But would be keen for a squirt during the week once daylight savings starts. Do some stunting practice? LOL You're only down the road from me yeah?
Firstly I didn't read this thread until today as it is titled 1st October.
I can't ride with you as I am going on the pink Ribbon ride http://www.prmr.org.au/details.htm it's to raise awareness for breast cancer research - And lets face it we all like breasts. I don't think it will be too exciting but rest assured I will be flying the Motard flag!

You would have had at least 3 Brett.
The threads have to be fresh and accurate.
Pink Ribbon Ride would be a good one to profile the motard issue, has mainstream coverage too..
I was going to post for it Paul, but thought you would all say Ash was gay  ...

Gay, Bi maybe
You know what they say Chicks with dicks twice the fun
Pink Ribbon ride was a really good day out, The riding was pretty sedate but a good day out in the sun and a good atmosphere with a few thousand like-minded individuals.
I vounteered to marshal which basically involved blasting up to the front of the pack and blocking off a road or pedestrian crossing (cops did the junctions), this is definately the best way to do one of these rides as you don't have to ride in the conga line!
Also Tara Moss wanted to get her picture taken with me - I think she was impressed with the colour coordination of the KTM with the orange Marshall's vest. She rides one of the new Triumph Scramblers which I think would make an excellent old-school motard/flat tracker.

Always worth supporting National Charity rides Paul.
I have done so myself on the motard and been the only motard in the pack of several hundred bikes and usually a good day out.
Having a bit of profile in any way on these days gets attention, and in your case, welcome attention
Good on you mate.
Now theres a tasteful picture of a girl and a bloke who met on a ride ;) ...
Neil - It said wear pink and that shirt is the only pink thing I own - apart from undies!
Muzz - I saw every single bike go past when I was stopping traffic at Grant's picnic ground, I'm pretty sure I was the only Motard! Approximately 1500 people.
How about getting some people together for the christmas ToyRun? It's a bloody good cause. Instead of buying presents for my Niece and Nephew (they live in the UK so it costs more than the presents to post them) I spend the same amount of money and the presents go to kids who have nothing.

I'd be up for that Paul and I reckon a few others would too.
Post up the details of any Charity ride like this and I'm usually in, and make the time to do so.
I'd be in for a stuffed freisian cow for a Xmas present
And I put Shane in for a stuffed cat he can post over too ;)

Your pink undies over the top of your leathers would have looked choice.
No wonder she didn't come home with you after the ride. :)

Shit, that's a bit rough.
Do a charity run and get picked on by the fuzz.
