Time to get ready, May 24th is booked.
Please assist by pre-booking - we have to pay up front.

Please Note:

Due to reported damage to track on last event, all bikes MUST wear axle and foot peg sliders - no exceptions. There will be universal peg sliders available at the track.

Eastern Creek Go Karts policy is no cameras on track. This refers to any and all onboard/helmet style cameras.

COSTS
You must be a member of NSWSMR to participate - fees shown on Membership form (attached)

Financial member NSWSMR with MA licence = $110.00
Financial member NSWSMR without MA licence = $110.00 + $25.00 for day licence.
Junior member with MA Licence = $70.00
Junior member without MA licence = $70.00 + $25.00 for day licence
Half night riding fee (after 7pm) Seniors = $80.00, Juniors = $60.00 (All other relevant fees apply)
You must pay in advance to allow this booking to go ahead. (Use the booking form attached.)
We will be employing a roster for flag marshals so you may draw your name out of a hat and have to sit out one round, this will rotate through all riders.
You can nominate a friend in your place.
There is a special deal whereby a rider who does the flagging for one whole night will receive the next practice night free.

* The membership is renewable annually on July 1 so new members will be registered until end of June 2012.

COME & TRY

NOTE: If you want to come and try on your own bike, or someone else's bike,
we will extend a special deal one time per person and it goes like this:

One Day Licence: $25
Membership: $30
2 Sessions: $25
Total: $80

After your first go at come and try, you will then need to book future practice nights as per normal.

All riders welcome, if you are new to this sport, please mention it and we will assist with tips, tricks, set-ups, follow the leader, etc.

RUNNING TIMES

Tuesday start at 4.00pm finish 10.00pm
Expecting to break into 3 groups (A group, B group, Quads)
Sessions should be 10 min each (may go longer if necessary)

We will need at least 30 NSWSMR members to break even otherwise the night can't go ahead.
If the session is cancelled due to weather, etc, we will be able to transfer the booking to an alternative date.
At this time, we are expecting to run practice sessions every 6-8 weeks to test the support.
If this takes off, the fees will come down further and we will look at frequency of rides according to the roll up, so get behind us and things will get better.

Bikes allowed: Registered or race prepared Supermoto type bikes from 125cc 2 stroke to unlimited 4 stroke capacity.
Junior road race bikes as per GCR's.
Hypermotard type bikes or road bikes are not suitable or approved for this circuit.
Quads as per GCR's

Personal Protection: Full protection is required as per Supermoto GCR's.

Cheers,
Steve

See you all out there!

Luke.

It has been mentioned in the event details, but the track operators have mentioned that they do not allow helmet/onboard cameras and would appreciate if we gave them the courtesy and implemented this ourselves for our events.

So please don't bring them along and expect to be let out on track :)

Also is there a seperate class for new comers/swappers so I dont get in the way of you seasoned professinoals?

- You'll be right on the lock wiring first time out, but if you have fun and plan on coming out again it'd be a good idea to get stuff wired up. The guys out there will guide you in the right direction.
- Catch can is a must, for now a 500ml can hidden out of harms way will suffice, again, look at getting a proper solution for the long term.
- I believe the sliders Jimmy makes come with all the bits and bobs you need.

There are multiple classes, typically the night starts with;
- A group for the racers/fast guys
- B group for the mid pace and newbies.
- Quads group for those nutty quad riders.

If numbers get bigger or the pace of people within the group is too varied then a C group is added where the new guys and the slower guys can have fun without worrying so much about being carved up. If you have any comments on the grouping or would like to change have a chat to Steve, Lyndel or any of the guys who look like they know what their doing (I haven't found one yet, but you might get lucky).

EDIT: Just remembe to take it real easy the first few laps, it'll be cold out and cold tyres don't grip too well, just ask Steve!

Thanks mate,

yeah ive already nearly had a couple of high sides this winter already, so i am pretty careful with cold tyres..

So no one will be pissed off if i rock up with a bike that needs everything done to it, i.e, lock wire, sliders, catch can?

If you get there early and you should have things sorted before the riding starts :) If you leave it to the last second people get antsy.

Material wise, you can sort out your catch can with a can and some cable ties beforehand.

Don't have a pic but found a spot where i could cable tie the can to the frame and that was close enough for all tubes to reach. On the drz it was right up front.

Depends on your bike and where you find some space.

Yeah I loved it, it was wet though and I was pretty slow, but hopefully that will change after some more practice. Was awsome fun...

track is being resurfaced as we speak, the date was the 5th but that is on hold due to the works. I'd imagine it will be in July, it will be great.

PEG AND AXLE SLIDERS (and no zip tied / safety wired on ones) and bark busters WILL BE MANDATORY FROM NOW ON TOO.. We will have to turn you away without them..

2 track nights ago there was a little Italian bloke that was riding an Sxv bloody fast. I'm sure I saw him in a cycle torgue mag with an article about how he was racing gp and supermoto through Italy and Spain. Did we have a celebrity among us or am I on crack?

I don't know his name. Will have to find the mag. I just love how he was riding in the b class group. It was great. Pushing my poor Wr chasing him. Definately helped to lift my pace and ride smooth.

looks like he is racing in the fx superbike and the supermono class, he is going to be a busy man. 6 races and 2 qualyfing rounds per day.
