Who's in?

Team,

We have to confirm if we want the ECGK for Tuesday Jan 18th. I don't want to book it if we don't have the numbers, so please reply with a yes or no - asap.

Those who have paid already for the previous ride day (cancelled) will have their fees transferred to this one.

We need the answer by this Friday - I will make the decision according to the feedback.

COSTS
You must be a member of NSWSMR to participate - fees shown on Membership form (attached)
Financial member NSWSMR with MA licence = $110.00
Financial member NSWSMR without MA licence = $110.00 + $25.00 for day licence.
Junior member with MA Licence = $70.00
Junior member without MA licence = $70.00 + $25.00 for day licence
Half night riding fee (after 7pm) Seniors = $80.00, Juniors = $60.00 (All other relevant fees apply)
You must pay in advance to allow this booking to go ahead. (Use the booking form attached.)
We will be employing a roster for flag marshals so you may draw your name out of a hat and have to sit out one round, this will rotate through all riders.
You can nominate a friend in your place.
There is a special deal whereby a rider who does the flagging for one whole night will receive the next practice night free.

The membership is renewable annually on July 1 so you will only pay that this time until July.

COME & TRY

NOTE: If you want to come and try on your own bike, or someone else's bike,
we will extend a special deal one time per person and it goes like this:

One Day Licence: $25
Membership: $30
2 Sessions: $25
Total: $80

After your first go at come and try, you will then need to book future practice nights as per normal.

All riders welcome, if you are new to this sport, please mention it and we will assist with tips, tricks, set-ups, follow the leader, etc.

RUNNING TIMES
Tuesday start at 4.00pm finish 10.00pm
Expecting to break into 4 groups
Sessions should be 10 min each (may go longer if necessary)

We will need at least 30 NSWSMR members to break even otherwise the night can't go ahead.
If the session is cancelled due to weather, etc, we will be able to transfer the booking to an alternative date.
At this time, we are expecting to run practice sessions every 6-8 weeks to test the support.
If this takes off, the fees will come down further and we will look at frequency of rides according to the roll up, so get behind us and things will get better.

Bikes allowed: Registered or race prepared Supermoto type bikes from 125cc 2 stroke to unlimited 4 stroke capacity.
Junior road race bikes as per GCR's.
Hypermotard type bikes or road bikes are not suitable or approved for this circuit.
Quads as per GCR's

Personal Protection: Full protection is required as per Supermoto GCR's.
Approved Helmet with AS1698 label or similar.
1 piece leather suit or jacket and trousers constructed out of leather or other material of similar or greater durability.
Padded with a double layer of leather on shoulders, elbows & knees.
Back protector.
Boots with ankle and calf protection - must overlap the suit or trousers when in normal riding position.
Gloves - leather or other material of similar or greater durability.
Goggles or Visor

For details on Supermoto requirements, clothing, lock wiring, etc look here - <attached file removed>

Other dates we are considering are: Tuesday 1st March or Tuesday 8th March, Tuesday 12th April or Tuesday 19th April 2011.

Any issues, please feel free to call or email me.

Cheers,

Hey Gonzo I'd love to come out and watch, and seeing as I'll be there I may as well hold a flag so you can put me down for a flaggie spot for the night if you like, it'll free up a ride spot for someone anyway, I often flag for ECRD and have done MotoGP and WSBK as well as StGeorge and PCRA rounds so shouldn't require too much training :)

I might just be able to attend this track day. Being that a drive up north may be inevitable for work so why not drag my bike up as well.
Keep ya posted!

MrE, I have checked the pics I took during the last ride day and there is people using tyre warmers connected to wall plugs (with bloody long extension cords).

maybe its been asked b4, but is there power to run tyre warmers? or do you need a genie?

Trying to remember back, there are power outlets, but very very few. If you have a genset, it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring it along.

COCK!

CDI died in a fizz of smoke, so I got a new one. No spark.
New coil. No spark.
Pulled apart the whole ignition circuit, cleaned, put back together. No spark.
Stevo reckons it might be the stator...

Oh well, at least you'll have another flagger tonight.

That crazy bunny was hilarous, it almost looked like it ran between one of the guys wheels as it darted across the track

I'll see if I can scrounge up some photos, I've a busy next few days so I'll get more out next week.
