What's involved in getting an MA licence? What is the cost?
Is it just a club membership then pay for a licence.

Basically yes Ash, you need to join a club, tell them you want an open national licence and they should furnish you with a couple of forms that you need to complete along with a signature from club secretary, get a couple of passport photos and send it off with your payment around $389 for the licence at $350 and test, yes test, at $39. Check this info Ash as its off the top of the head.
Test is done over the phone and covers flags etc for race meetings, just so you dont speed up when you should be slowing down and that you have the knowledge needed to be safely competitive...

That's what I thought too ... I just quizzed Cal and he said it was the same process, and he recently went through it (last year) ... not sure about the prices, but give a club a ring and they'll let you know ... alterntively try the motorcycling victoria website, as there's probably some info there come to think of it ( http://www.motorcyclingvic.com.au )

Thanks for the advice guys.
My mate (I do have more than 1) told me tonight there is a place in the states that is doing talon hubs and excel rims for $700US. I may have to rob a bank then.

Ash, you find that man, get me the details and I will get the proforma invoicing organised and ship them here yesterday!
20 sets is what I would be looking for. :D Cheap wheels all round!
Licence wise Ash, Goulburn Valley M/C memberships are $50.
Hartwell, now based in Bayswater, is around $90. Gives you a bit of an idea. I used to be in Hartwell, they are very professional/practised, but location means this year could be GVMCC. :)
